To put it mildly, this last has been quite a trip. Mostly in ways I never would have anticipated at the start of 2020. Not to be overly clichéd, but these have certainly been “unprecedented times”, in both a global scale and for me personally. About a year ago, I relocated to Belgium and went incognito after one final update blog. Since then, the Belgian government issued my residency card and accepted my application for self-employment. This has allowed for me to do a soft-relaunch of my freelance Japanese to English translation and editing business.

This sole proprietorship is a continuation and transformation of Latham Sprinkle Translation and Editing. For any newcomers, my name is Tamara Latham Sprinkle. Hence, Latham Sprinkle Translation and Editing or Sprinkle Linguistics. Having cut my teeth as a freelancer in the USA, I am taking this opportunity to refocus and rebrand. My goal is to build on an existing framework not reinvent the wheel. This website contains my previous blogs as well as new content. (I will attempt to blog more regularly.) However, the gorgeous layout and design is all thanks to my wonderful web designer.
Sprinkle Linguistics is open to business for local and international clients. My business is listed on the KBO (Crossroads Bank for Enterprises) here in Belgium, and I am still in close contact with my existing clients. Also, my profiles on the Japan Association of Translators and American Translator Association are now up-to-date, and I am in the process of joining the Belgium Chamber of Translators and Interpreters.
